File Scavenger is the full-featured, award-winning application recovery and data files for undeleter volumes NTFS. File Scavenger can restore accidentally deleted files, including files removed from the Recycled Bin, in a window DOS, from a network drive from Windows Explorer with the SHIFT key pressed, provided that the reconstruction attempted before the files are permanently replaced by Windows. File Scavenger supports both basic and dynamic disks, NTFS compression, alternate data streams scattered files, etc. Except in severe cases, both the file and the folder path leading to the file can be recovered. With File Scavenger, files can be recovered from damaged partition or reformat volumes. It is even possible when the volume has been deleted and original position on disk and size are unknown. Using single mode nonexistent Search Volume, File Scavenger can scan the entire physical hard drive to look for traces of defunct volumes. Also in this mode, files can be recovered from broken Caretta volumes (ie RAID 0 or RAID 5), provided that the component physical drives are still available separately. (For striped set with parity or RAID 5, one drive can be missing.) Caution: Always check the integrity of recovered files to make sure that the contents of the file is still intact.
